Stainless Steel Tactile Studs|Tactile ground indicators

Tactile Studs for Blind and Visually impaired also known as Blind road markers and  Tactile Paving are now increasingly being seen at public places all across the Middle East in various Public areas and in Hospitals, Metros. These are used for Guidance for Visually impaired or blind persons.


Blind road markers are a practical and functional solution to help blind or visually impaired individuals find their way safely. The blind textured pavements are given different patterns at the points where direction changes.  Being linear on the straight and round at intersections, these markers let the intended users sense through feet where they should walk to. These striped areas are meant for intended users only and easily recognized by visually impaired or visually challenged people, making traveling safe and friendly for all.

The paving method of blind road is the same as that of sidewalk brick paving. Pay attention to the following during construction:
(1) When paving the sidewalk to the building, guide blocks should be continuously installed in the middle of the direction of travel, and stop blocks should be paved in front of the edge of the intersection. The paving width shall not be less than 0.60m.
(2) The tactile block at the crosswalk is 0.30m away from the edge stone or a block of sidewalk bricks are paved. The guide block material and the stop block material form a vertical pavement. The paving width shall not be less than 0.60m.
(3) The bus stop is 0.30m away from the curbstone or a block of sidewalk brick paving guide block material. Temporary stop signs are provided with stop blocks, which are paved vertically with guide blocks, and the paving width shall not be less than 0.60m.
(4) The curb on the inner side of the sidewalk shall be at least 0.10m above the sidewalk in the green belt. The fracture of the green belt is connected with guide blocks.

5 At the entrances of pedestrian bridges, pedestrian underpasses, and barrier-free facilities in urban public green spaces, there should be blind trails;
6 Building entrances, service desks, stairs, barrier-free elevators, barrier-free toilets or barrier-free toilets, bus stations, railway passenger stations, platforms of rail transit stations, etc. should be provided with blind lanes.
